Zo Tum Hmung, Founder and Executive Director
Zo Tum Hmung was born in Chin State, Burma, and has spent over two decades advocating for federalism, democracy, and human rights in Burma, and also seeking durable solutions for Chin and other refugees and internally displaced persons (IDP) from Burma.
In 2003, he completed his Master of Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, focusing on foreign policy and negotiations. He currently lives with his family in Elkridge, Maryland.
Rev. Tim Siemens, Chairman
Pastor Tim graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1985 and has spent the last 34 years on staff with Grace Community Church in a variety of roles. Before his retirement in May 2019 he was an elder and oversaw the Counseling and Care Ministries. He and his wife Stephanie have been involved with the Chin Community for the past 10+ years and visited their village in Burma in 2014. His passion is bringing God’s resources and opportunities to the marginalized for God’s glory.
Rev. Joseph Nihre Bawihrin, Secretary
Vincenzo Leone- Treasurer
Vincenzo has been involved in the nonprofit world for the last 25 years. He started his involvement in Italy, at young age, helping refugee families from Sri Lanka. His college thesis, published in Italian, also contributed to the discussion of “The social responsibility of the Church before the world”, trying to find a biblical balance between “word and deed”. His passion is to empower and support the vulnerable, in the light of the gospel. He came to the United States to study and graduated with a Master’s in Divinity from Columbia International University and a MBA from Loyola University Maryland. He was the Director of Operations at World Relief for 9 years, where they resettled refugees across the U.S., and is currently the Director of Operations at Grace Community Church in Fulton, Maryland. Vincenzo married Alice, from Paraguay, and they have lived and worked together in Italy, Switzerland, Paraguay, and the U.S. They have two children that are attending college, and if you visit their home it’s not uncommon to hear interactions in Italian, Spanish, and English, or hear them talking with someone across the globe.
